-A craft project based on the
children's story.
An easy craft idea based on the story by Anna Llenas. Colour and emotions vocabulary ...Lots of individuality!
Stage 1
-Stencil and cut a rectangular cardboard tray ...but you could just use card.
(This was for a session with younger learners so I did the cutting)
Stage 2
-Draw the mouth and hands
Stage3
-Colour parts with board pens or felt-tip pens (you can roughly scribble it)
-Colour the rest with crayons (after the pens)
Stage 4
-Cut circles and legs
-Attach circles with prittstick and legs and string with tape and add detail
-Tape string to the back
-Add more detail with black pen (eyes, eyebrows, etc)
This is the idea after adding the colour
Stage 5
-You could also tape an envelope on the back to keep mini colour/pelmanism game if you make it with this project.

This activity took around an hour.
We did some colour vocab with flashcards and a song and started the craft early -if extra time I would have done the mini pelmanism game the students make themselves but no time!
This craft project worked really well (it led to a story-telling session of 'The Color Monster') so could take 1 - 2 hours depending if you'd want to do the story.
An easy and effective craft project with some great masterpieces.
