Rather Nice Cards

Here's an easy and effective idea for Birthday Cards. Or they could be used as a modern twist on cards for Mother's Day.

Materials
-Card

-Glue ('Pritt-stick' is ideal)

-Wrapping paper

-Black card//paper

-Metallic pen

-Doily (usually free with paper plates)

Stage 1
-Fold card in half (it's a good idea to fit the card to an envelope first)

Stage 2
-Find off-cuts of wrapping paper, magazines, etc
-Decide on image (bag, shoe, dress, etc) and cut from doily
-Stick to black card
-Rip or cut to size of card front
-Add detail with metallic pen

Stage 3
-Rip/cut a piece of black card and write message
-Stick a piece of old wrapping paper onto card front
-Stick image and message on top
