See-through Fish

Here's a fish project to put in the window


This project is made from a paper plate and see-through plastic (or coloured tissue paper) and can be placed in a window for the light to shine through.

Materials
Paper plate
Plastic (or coloured tissue paper)
Paint, paintbrushes, paint container, paper to paint on
Black marker
White circular sticker (or cut from white paper)
'Pritt stick' glue
Scissors

Stage 1
-Draw fish image on plate (draw from the stencil on one plate then use that plate to repeat stencil image on other plates if making several)
-Cut out
Stage 2
-Paint the plate (either both sides or only the underside of the plate)
-Allow to dry...
Stage 3
-Cut a square from the plastic/tissue paper
-Glue the upper side of the plate paying attention to the edges and corners of cut-out plate
-Place plastic/tissue onto plate and smooth out

Stage 4
-Cut off excess plastic/tissue paper
-Add circular sticker/round bit of paper for eye
-Outline and add detail with black marker
-Stick in the window!

You could use this project for 'Sea' vocabulary or combine with other 'sea' projects
