Spring Flower

Here's a great project for Spring.
Easy to make perfect to give as a Mother's Day,
birthday or thank you gift.
An effective Spring project. No painting or glueing necessary so easy to make. Inspired by

Materials
-Light-coloured card (A4 size makes 2 flowers)
-Green pen (a board marker is ideal)
-Green paper/card (could be on white paper and coloured in with green pen)
-Wooden kebab sticks (or straws for younger children)
-Coloured pencils (or paint, paintbrushes, etc) if preferred
-Basic materials: pencil, scissors, tape

Stage 1
-Draw around hand on card
-Cut out
-You could colour in (or paint) the lower part of the hand cut-out, darker at the the bottom of the hand and graduating the colour to the tips of the fingers for a nice effect
Stage 2
-Use a wooden kebab stick for the stem. Colour in green with a felt-tip pen or board marker
*You could use straws instead of kebab sticks if being made by younger children
Stage 3
-Roll the fingers of the cut-out hand around a pencil
-Wrap around the 'stem' stick (with the fingers curled on the outside) and tape to secure
 Stage 4
-Cut leaf shapes out of green paper/card (including a stem so it can wrap around the stick) and secure with tape

*You could make 2 or three flowers to make a bouquet and then tape together and tie with ribbon
