Here are some ideas to make easy Christmas cards using off-cuts of wrapping paper, shiny paper, doilies, etc. Very easy and effective. Start making them now!
MaterialsA4/A3 coloured card
Shiny paper/Wrapping paper/Doily
Pencils
Stencils (if needed) ..draw around a glass or coin for baubles
Glue ('Prittstick' is ideal)
Scissors
Metallic pen
Stage 1
-Fold A4/A3 coloured card in half. It's a good idea to fit to envelopes you want to use
Stage 2
-Add a background material, if necessary ..E.g.some plain-coloured/shiny wrapping paper
-Choose your design ..rip strips of coloured paper for a Christmas tree design or cut circles from shiny paper for baubles/circles from doilies for snowflakes
-Glue images to front of card
Stage 3
-Add detail ..for bauble design draw a line from the bauble to the top of the card in black or metallic pen
-Write Christmas message. If the card is a dark colour, metallic pens look effective. Or cut out a rectangle of light-coloured card/paper and write Christmas message on that
-Write message on the inside of card. You could add a rectangle of shiny wrapping paper to the inside of the card and write message on a separate piece of paper which is stuck on top
