A bit 'Jean Harlow'
Easy to make, too.
Materials
-Paper plate
-Doily (they usually come in a white colour free with the paper plates ...the gold ones are free with the gold paper trays)
-Glue ('Prittstick' is ideal)
-Scissors
-Tape
-Black pen
-Decoration ...shiny paper, jazzy tape, etc
-Stencil (optional)

Stage 1
-Use the stencil provided to draw onto paper plate. Once you've drawn on one image, use the cut-out plate as a stencil
Stage 2
-Use the white paper doily to decrorate the 'wings' and any shiny wrapping paper/tape to decorate the rest. Alternatively, you could used a gold doily (that comes free with paper trays) for extra jazzy effect ..I was inspired by the image of 1930's actress, Jean Harlow
Stage 3
-Place the plate so it's curved upwards. Tape the corners to make it 3-D
Stage 4
-Add the facial features. The original stencil is long hair and a halo. This can be coloured-in with coloured pens. If you want to make more of a feature of the face, you could do this on white paper first, then stick on when you are happy with the image. Colour on the hair or use shiny paper
Stage 5
-Cut the ornate part of the doily (usually 2 strips of the gold doily per wing work well ...the white doilies are circular so fit perfectly)
-Glue the underside of the plate wings and stick on doily so it's even
-Add extra decoration ..shiny circles (drawn around coin from gold doily, wrapping paper, foil, etc)
-If you'd prefer to use this as a standing decoration, you'll need to prop against a wall or add a verticle strip of cardboard to the back so it can stand up straight. Alternatively, stick on the wall with blu-tac or pop on the top of a tree
