Craft for

Autumn! 

Here are easy ideas for Autumn craft

Autumn Lantern

Materials

-jam jar

-orange tissue paper

-pritt stick glue

-scissors

-tea light candle

-decorative paper

 (gold, brown, green, red)

-rustic string

Instructions

-Rip orange tissue 

 paper into rough 

 pieces

-Glue on to jam 

 jar (stick on in a

 line at top and 

 bottom of jar 

 first. 

 Don't stick it 

 underneath the jar

-Cut out leaf 

 shapes from the 

 decorative paper

 and stick on 

 jam jar

-Tie rustic string 

 around top on 

 jam jar

-Put in tea light 

 candle

-Light candle so it 

 shines through 

 the decoration. 

 USE CANDLE WITH 

 ADULTS AND DO NOT 

 LEAVE UNATTENDED!

Autumn Garland

Materials

-paper plate (or use 

 recycled card and draw 

 around plates for circular 

 shape)

-pritt stick glue

-scissors

-tape

-decorative paper 

 (gold, brown, green, 

 red)

-decorative string/tape 

 to hang

-colours 

 (orange/brown/green)

-Real leaves (optional)

Instructions

-Cut a line from                

 outside edge of 

 paper plate to 

 the centre

-Cut out the 

 circular inner

 part of paper plate

 (follow the line 

 of the outer ribbed

 part)

-Tape the initial 

cut back together 

 so the ring-shaped

 structure is

 secure 

-Colour paper plate 

 orange, brown 

 and/or green 

 (optional)

-Cut shapes from 

 decorative paper 

 -different shaped 

 leaves and

  berries 

 -you can draw 

 around 

 hand to make leaf 

 designs, too

 (you could then add 

 real leaves, twigs, etc

 but would need to

 use PVA glue and 

 allow to dry)

-Tape decorative string

 to the back in a loop 

 and hang up!
