Easter Bunny Card

Here are some Easter card ideas

A pop-up card and a simple version...

And the easy version...

This is a Pop-Up Card featuring cotton wool discs for the tail and ears.
You could just feature the inside bunny image with cotton tail as a front cover to keep it simple.

Materials
-Coloured A4 card -One piece for the card itself and the other to cut out the bunny images (blue and pink are ideal) ..plus you can use any off-cuts for decoration
-Cotton wool discs
-Decorative materials -wrapping paper, off-cuts of the card used, etc
-Basic materials -ruler, pencil, marker pen, coloured pens, 'pritt-stick' glue, scissors

Stage 1
-Cut the A4 pink card in half
-On one piece, draw around circular objects to get the body and head of the bunny
-Add ears (and feet)
*You could use a stencil for this if using for a class project
-Cut out (save the other half of the card for the main image on the front)
-Glue a circle on the card with 'prittstick' glue and stick on the cotton wool disc for the tail

Stage 2
-Fold blue A4 card in half
-Cut 2 slits vertically across the fold (around 2-3 cm ..the length of the cut should accomodate the size of the bunny to attach inside ..check it all fits by folding the card before sticking)
-Horizontally fold the cut parts and fold both ways
-Push the folded part inwards, which should provide a structure for your pop-up image

Stage 3
-Glue one side of the pop-up part
-Place the bottom edge of the bunny image against the folded patt
- Fold card flat and press, so both parts glue together

 

Stage 4

-Add clouds (with white stickers, white paper or the cotton wool discs) in the background

-You could add Easter eggs too

-Add message

 Stage 5

-On the other half of the pink card, draw a circular shape for the bunny face for the front cover (I used a CD for this). Draw on the ears

-Cut out

-Draw on the face. You could add pink circles for the cheeks and outline the face and ears, too

-You could also cut a cotton wool disc to 2 triangular shapes and add to the inside of the ears

-Glue a piece of card on the top of the card to provide an Easter message and to disguise the cut-out folded part

-Glue on the bunny face and any extra details with the off-cuts of card ..flowers, eggs, etc

We used the inside idea for the front of the card to simplify it.
