Halloween Jam Jar Lantern

Here's an easy version of a classic Halloween Lantern.
Materials
-Jam Jar
-Paint
(and paint brush, paint container, newspaper)
-Black card/Paper
-Scissors
-Glue (Pritt-stick is ideal)
-Tea light candle

Stage 1
-Paint the jam jar with paintin one colour
(paint a line around the width of the jar at the top, then a line around the bottom, then fill in the middle)
-Allow to dry

Stage 2
-Cut half a circle for the 'mouth'. Then cut a square out of the top and at the bottom for 'teeth'.
-Cut two triangles for eyes
-Bend slightly to follow the shape of the jam jar
-Stick on

Stage 3
-Put in the candle
-Add a safety warning (Eg, 'Please be careful when candle is lit and don't leave unattended'.)
-Light the candle (you'll need to light it first and then drop in the jar) and enjoy your scary Halloween Lantern!
