Halloween Bouncy Bat

Here's a craft project to celebrate Halloween
This is a fun project but
involves painting so you'd need around an hour for the paint to dry on the cardboard .. maybe not suitable for an hourly lesson (unless pre-painted).

Materials
-Toilet Roll
-Black paint, paint brushes, etc.
-White stickers - circular if possible
(if not available can draw around coin)
-Black paper (photocopy nothing on a photocopier to get one side of black paper ...black card is OK but a bit thick so don't use all of an A4 piece)
-Elastic or string
-Basic Materials: Scissors, pen, tape
 Stage 1
-Pre-draw lines on roll for students to cut
-Students cut the lines

Draw 2 lines x2 about 5cm apart. Then, from the other end, draw one  up to the middle of the roll and 2 either side. Use the second image as a guide but don't cut apart ...This is only to see where to draw the lines
 ...And Cut
Stage 2
-Paint the roll. On the inside first, then the outside
-Allow to dry
Stage 3
-Pleat the black paper/card
-Keep flat and insert into the 2 horizontal cuts on the roll

Stage 4
-Fold the 2cm cut parts out for the ears and fold the in-between part down for the face
-Un-pleat the pleated black paper/card for the wings
-Add 2 circular stickers for the eyes and cut into fangs
-Add elastic/string by inserting into the central cut of roll, then tape on the inside
And that's it!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
